Trickshots are the amusing side of the game that takes us away from the usual gameplay and lets us use our imagination to come up with some stunning and complicated looking shots that we wouldn't normally be able to utilize during a normal frame of iSnooker.

Aiming Tips by Yo

First of and most important: you need to get rid of the error margins, these are the main cause of balls failing to
go the way you want them to. You need to make the table beginner level, you do this by selecting setup and under
level, select beginner. At this points any ball you try should go exactly were you aim. That eliminates the artificial error; however there is still the human error. You are never going to be able to aim for exactly the same spot
twice, that means if a shot works once, it wont necessarily work the same next time you try it, even though you try to aim for the same spot.

To resolve this you need a system which allows you to remember the spot you aim for when taking a shot (a reference point) so that you may modify or try again for the next shot, if it does not work. Now most of you
probably find a mark on the screen (such as the writing in the menu on the task bar, or the advertisements on the side of the table and use that as a reference point, it is a good idea however it is not always possible to do this
as you may not have anything to aim for, so this is what I recommend: you need to be able to mark certain points
of the screen somehow, to do this you simply go to practice, edit position, and the box with the edit option will appear, this can be moved throughout the screen, and will stay were you put it no matter what you do. So
basically what you do is aim for a corner of that box and depending on how the shot goes you can press undo,
and modify the spot were you aim, but also move the box first higher or lower, to the left or right and aim for the
corner of it again, if the shot still does not work move the box again, aim for its corner, and so on, continue the process until the white goes were you want it to.

Another good idea is to have the option draw cue-ball line extend on. This way you can line up 2 balls and a
pocket to be perfectly straight, something which you may need in certain shots, and also have an idea of the angle
of deflection of the white ball. To know that the balls are perfectly straight the 2 lines need to look as only one, as
they are aiming in exactly the same direction.

This shot could be taken using the "P" in practice as a reference point, but it is going to be difficult as it leaves
room for error seeing how the "P" and the line are not touching. You may also need to aim somewhere else in
other trickshots where there is no writing to aim for.

Idea's by Yo

Now here is some general knowledge when coming up with ideas for trick shots: you do not always need to try
and come up with a shot that pots as many balls as possible, this is not a bad idea, however be creative, do things
like using the cue ball for more than just hitting the first ball and then expect all the other balls to do the work.
The shot can only pot one ball at the end but if it does so in an interesting manner. It is very spectacular when something is blocking the path towards a pocket, and you somehow remove those obstacles and also manage
to pot a ball in that pocket.

If you have found an interesting effect, but only one of the balls always refuses to drop in a pocket you can compromise and do one of the following: place another ball on the edge of that pocket so that your ball will pot
this instead and still get an effect, or place a ball just on the left or right side of the pocket so that your ball will hit that and bounce of it in the pocket. However do not exaggerate with these, no more than 2 of these compromises per shot, or else it will lose it's appeal.

Always try to have some sort of symmetry in the color of the balls in the shot. For example: you have shot with 6 balls on the table of which 4 will go in pockets at the end of the shot; make those 4 balls red and the ones that
stay on the table colored, or the other way around if you wish. Or if you have a shot with many balls on the table that do something interesting but only pot one ball, make sure that ball is black and the rest are red, just to give it
a little dramatic effect.
